Red Sea MAX Nano Cube G2 Aquarium

The MAX NANO G2 systems come with everything needed to sustain a reef aquarium, sparing you from dealing with component selection or compatibility concerns. They come with a 5-year extended warranty, and are ideal for first-timers who want to experience what it’s like to grow their own corals, as well as advanced reefers interested in a tank that won’t consume too much space or time.

The compact size of the MAX NANO Cube allows it to fit nearly anywhere, with an elegant modern look that adds the right touch to any room.

Fully equipped rear sump: the hidden rear sump is topped by a rotatable screen, for easy access.

The water is filtered via a removable surface skimmer, a bespoke 225-micron filter sock, a MAX NANO protein skimmer, a media chamber containing 100g of REEF-SPEC Carbon and a bubble trap.

The REEF-SPEC circulation system has a 950 LPH Sicce return pump for the Cube and Peninsula, and a 1550 LPH Sicce return pump for the XL.

Both circulate their tank’s entire water volume about 10 times an hour. The water returns to the display via a multidirectional, adjustable nozzle.

The rear sump also includes an auto top-off with an RO reservoir, and is both ReefATO+ and NanoMat-ready.

The rear sump is NanoMat-ready, so you can enjoy enhanced mechanical filtration and crystal clear water. The rear sump is also ReefATO+ ready, assuring you that the water volume will remain constant and the salinity stable. Both add-ons are sold separately.

MAX NANO protein skimmer

The water is directed through a rotatable surface skimmer to a bespoke micron filter sock, and from there to a MAX NANO protein skimmer. The skimmer implements Red Sea’s REEF-SPEC criteria for SPS corals, passing the entire volume of the aquarium water through the skimmer approximately 3 times per hour and with a 3 to 1 water-to-air ratio. The water then passes through a chemical media chamber (with 100g of REEF-SPEC Carbon) and finally, a bubble trap. It is circulated via a 950 LPH Sicce return pump (Cube and Peninsula) or 1550 LPH Sicce return pump (XL), and returns to the display tank through a multidirectional, adjustable nozzle.

Automatic top-off

An automatic top-off unit with a freshwater reservoir is hidden behind the screen above the sump and maintains a constant water level. It contains 1.5 L / 0.4 gal in the Cube and Peninsula, and 2.7 L / 0.7 gal in the XL,  which is sufficient for approximately 2-3 days of evaporation.

Circulation pump

The MAX NANO REEF-SPEC circulation system has a 950 liter per hour Sicce return pump for the Cube and Peninsula, and a 1550 liter per hour Sicce return pump for the XL. Both will circulate their tank’s entire water volume about 10 times an hour.

The MAX NANOs have a built-in power center with conveniently located on/off switches for the skimmer and circulation pumps, enabling easy access for feeding and maintenance.

6. Ultra clear glass - The MAX NANO G2 models have a rimless design and are made from 8-10 mm ultra clear glass, which provides a superb viewing experience.
7. Micron filter bag - The 225 micron filter bag removes large waste particles from the water.
8. Protein skimmer - The heart of the filtration system is the MAX NANO protein skimmer, that efficiently removes organic waste from the water.
9. Multidirectional eyeball nozzle - The filtered water returns to the display tank via a multidirectional, adjustable eyeball nozzle, ensuring there are no stagnant spots within the aquarium.
10. Dedicated media chamber - The rear sump includes a media chamber with a top for chemical filtration, such as Red Sea’s REEF-SPEC Carbon (supplied with the MAX NANO).
11. Bubble trap sponge - The bubble trap sponge prevents air bubbles from returning to the aquarium.
